Hi guys! Im new here.
I got some questions id hope to get clearified. Bare in mind that english is not my native language, so there'll be some typos
Me and 3 friends are planning to buy about 60g of green good quality stuff to bake either with brownies or muffins. I've made brownies a couple of times before, with a little different results each time. I usually use those browniemixes and just add the wet stuff and sprinkle the goods in the mix. Usually this does the trick, but recently Ive google and read whatever Ive come across regarding baking, and it seems theres a lot of different ways and opinions of how to best extract the THC out of the weed. So here comes my first question:
- Would simply sprinkling weed (in powderform) have the equivalent effect as if you would extract the thc in e.g. butter beforehand?
- Ive read some places that the THC only seperates or "becomes active" after reaching a certain temperature, if so what temp would that be?
- I would like to try to extract the thc in butter, since this is an ingredient in so many foods. However I fear that my friends would be way to eager to get high when we get our load that they wont be willing to wait "that long" . If im forced to make the brownies without making the butter first, what would be the best way to do it? Just sprinkling it in the mix? Or is there some other better trick?
- Also, wherever Ive read about extracting thc into butter Ive come across so many different opinions about how long to let the butter and weed "interact" - warying all from 30 minutes to ! 24 hours ! - so easy to say, Im a little confused
I hope you guys could help me clearify some of these questions for me.

Hi Andre, When you have made cannabis cupcakes brownies etc before as you say I`m sure you noticed they all tasted nauseating like shit?
That is what happens when you dont make cannabuttter, just suspend some butter in water, and SIMMMER not boil when its melted(the water so the butter doesnt burn) then stir this mix every 15-20 mins while simmering for 2-3 hours and the top of your "mix" looks glossy, dont worry about the temp the canna is already disolved and "active" after baking what you need to worry about is dissolving it in fat.
There is also a fun recipe online for "green dragon sugar" but bit requires making green dragon in advance, I am going to try both in my next cooking projects(usualy use the "trash" from growing and give it away to sick people for free), Anyway I deralied a bit there eh, when you are done simmering ,strain the butter/water into a cotnaier through some kind of filter or cheese cloth, then Place this in the fridge, the fat has lower freezing point than water and it will form a solid after some hours, Enjoy my man.
